As part of the 2015-16 rate add-on negotiations with the Department of Health Care Services, DHCS has agreed to a rate add-on for both SNF and ICFs/DD, DD-H and DD-N for costs related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
- DHCS has created a certification process that employers must use to claim the specific add-on for these costs.
- The forms that employers must use have been uploaded to the Long Term Care Reimbursement Unit's webpage.

The UPDATED deadline to submit these forms is 2/29/16.
This certification process applies to employers with more than 100 full time employees starting in 2015, and employers with 50 or more full time employees starting in 2016. The Affordable Care Act add on for SNF's and ICFs-DD is $.54 per patient-day (ppd).
